Practicing locations aggregated for various provider types is presented in this visualization. The underlying data has been aggregated from the detailed data in Essential Community Provider/Network Adequacy (ECP/NA) template provided to Arkansas Insurance Department by Insurance Companies towards their network review and certification. Only the Arkansas defined provider types have been displayed. Furthermore, only providers on whose classification the industry agrees on based on actual practice, are displayed. This provider type classification review is done through a semi-annual data maintenance process called the Provider Type NPI Pool (PTNP) data maintenance. This is a consolidated data publication and not meant to replace the online provider directories published by each insurance company, nor is it meant to be an exhaustive listing of all providers or provider types in Arkansas.
